Just found this study - Love the conclusion

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17092614 The case fatality was increased for children who had received DTP with or after measles vaccine compared with children who had received measles vaccine as the most recent vaccine

-------------------

Wow, combinations of vaccines can have consequences. I wonder if Dr. Offit read this study?

What I really found enlightening was the conclusion

Quote:
CONCLUSION: Administration of DTP with, or after MV, may reduce the beneficial effect of MV
I guess death can be a bummer to the benefits of MV.

Ok, the above started me searching and I found this as well

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/15082643

Quote:
have not found diphtheria-tetanus-pertussis (DTP) vaccine to be associated with the expected reduction in mortality, a few studies suggesting increased mortality
Quote:
children receiving DTP at 2-8 months of age had higher mortality over the next 6 months

Once I get started I can't seem to stop

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17484223

Quote:
The 2-fold increase in female mortality after high-titer measles vaccine may have occurred because many children received diphtheria-tetanus-pertussis (DTP) vaccine or inactivated polio vaccine (IPV) after high-titer measles vaccine.
Quote:
Randomization to IPV was associated with higher female than male mortality. However, the increased female mortality might result from additional doses of DTP received after enrollment and before measles vaccination."]Randomization to IPV was associated with higher female than male mortality. However, the increased female mortality might result from additional doses of DTP received after enrollment and before measles vaccination.
If I had a daughter I would be so relieved knowing this.

We went in to the dr's yesterday and she said I know you don't want to vax but I want to know you understand about the recent outbreak in measles. : I said yeah what a whole 130 cases? She went to say yeah and a couple died and if that one was your kid? I said yep but when you dr's prescribe drugs and the vax themselves all have those small %'s there too and if it happens to my kid ya'll say well we will have to try another drug

I would really, really like to see a report that someone died from the measles recently in the U.S. I have not seen that on any reports. Where do you think she got it from?

I'm sure he chooses to ignore the existence of it. Anything else I could say would be one big UAV. :

I haven't heard of any measles deaths, either.

I had a lengthy discussion with a pharmaceutical researcher last week. At one point I asked him, "Can you ever prove one of these products to be safe?" He's a very intelligent person and understand what I was asking. He said, "No, it's impossible." He said that there is absolutely no way to prove these products, including vaccines, are totally safe because A) There are too many other products out there and the research will never be able to test one product with all the possible reactions of all the others and B) They simply do not test the products for very long. They have NO IDEA what the long term effects are. NONE. ZILCH. ZIPPO.

I'm kind of confused from reading the abstracts cited by the OP. What do they mean when they talk about the DTP (or IPV) being administered "after" MV? Moments after? A month after? (I haven't read the full studies; maybe it says.)
