Name: Christina
Due date:May 7
Older Children and Ages: Oliver, 2.5
Birth Plans: Homebirth, woop!
Anything else you'd like to add: I am SO happy to find of forum of like minded women. I am currently a member of ivillage due date club for May, and I swear I am the only rational person on there. Maybe I won't be crucified here for suggesting genital integrity, breastfeeding and *gasp*unmedicated childbirth are more times than not what is best for baby.

Name: Heather
Due date: June 1st or sooner
Older Children and Ages: Daniel - Age 14
Birth Plans: I haven't really discussed this with my doctor yet, but I know for sure it will be at the hospital. I had an epidural with my first and only 14 years ago and it was quite nice. I'll probably opt for a "walking epidural" this time.
Anything else you'd like to add: Just happy to be here experiencing this again. Its hard to remember the first time (I was 18, a lifetime ago!) and I look forward to enjoying every moment this time!

Name: Adrienne
Due date: May 1st
Older Children and Ages: Maggie 6 and Sean 18 months

Anything else you'd like to add: Suprised to be pregnant again as AF never returned after Sean and we had such a hard time getting pregnant with #2. This baby is totally unexpected, but we are thrilled.

Name: Heather
Due date: mid-May
Older Children and Ages: Maya is just about 5.5 y.o.
Birth Plans: HBAC :-)
Anything else you'd like to add: My first was a footling breech, hence the c-section, and I've recently realized I'm starting to obsess about when this one will turn!
Name: Kirstin
Due date: May 3, but I'm telling everyone May 10 to avoid being bugged if I go past 40 weeks again
Older Children and Ages: Jubilee, age 3
Birth Plans: Planning to deliver in same freestanding birth center where I had Jubilee. Love the thought of homebirth, but we live next-door to my in-laws, which means we will actually get more privacy going somewhere other than home.
Anything else you'd like to add: Hoping for a shorter labor than last time

Thought I'd join in!

Name: Christa
Due date: May 1st
Older Children and Ages: Sada Alejandra (3/30/06) and baby girl (coming sometime April/May!)
Birth Plans: We are currently planning on having a Dr. monitored pregnancy (have been thus far) and then an Unassisted Home Birth
Anything else you'd like to add: I was recommended to this website from another message board group b/c I'm so into co-sleeping, natural birth, etc. I am a little "too extreme" for some of them..haha! Anyway! I'm excited to join in!:
Name: Suzanna
Due date: May 6th
Older Children and Ages: Ian (4) and Maren (2)
Birth Plans: Had hoped to give birth at the freestanding birth center, but my care was transferred due to health issues. : Now will give birth at a big teaching hospital with (thankfully) midwives (unless something turns up to require my care be transferred yet again to a high-risk doc). Doula will be there too.
Anything else you'd like to add: Glad to see a birth club here. I didn't know they existed! Hope to be a more active member. I would say I'm more a mainstream or moderate crunchy mama. I wish I could be better at following through with my beliefs, but I'm not great at that.
Name: Sarah Jewel
Due date: May 4th
Older Children and Ages: Seamus, born 7/18/06
Birth Plans: Not much. haha I'm doing a hospital birth (homebirth is out for me as I live a good hour from a hospital and Husband thinks this is too risky), but other than that, my biggest things are NO c-section unless it's a real emergency, and NO EPISIOTOMY.
Anything else you'd like to add: Look forward to hearing about everyone else's pregnancies!
Name: Emily
Due date: May 29th
Older Children and Ages: Noah 18 months on 2/6
Birth Plans: Bradley Birth with a midwife
Anything else you'd like to add: I had a great birth with my first. I have been diagnosed with a uterine synecaie this time and I am currently researching how this could possibly effect my birthing experience. I am so glad to have found a supportive group of pregnant women who don't think I am "crazy":

Name: Beth
Due date: May 5th
Older Children and Ages: Ryan - will be 23 month apart
Birth Plans: Home for most of it, then natural VBAC at hospital with midwife, doula, DH, and using Hypnobabies
Anything else you'd like to add: Crazy story - I was due June 5th. Just had 20 week ultrasound that dated the baby at 24 weeks. OB & midwife changed my EDD to May 5th. They said my LMP was an undiagnosed subchorionic hemorrhage, and that I got pregnant the month before!

Name: Larissa
Due date: May 25
Older children and ages: No other children; this is our first! We do have four sweet cats, however.
Birth plan: Homebirth all the way, barring unforeseen complications
Anything else you'd like to add: I'm glad to join this DDC! I've been a strong supporter of midwives and homebirth since early on, as I was born at home myself, though I have a lot of respect and understanding for women who give birth in hospitals or birthing clinics as well. I'm currently measuring a little bit big, and have had an inkling all along that this baby will probably be somewhat early, although I may just suspect that because I was born a month early (also a May baby). I'm loving every step of my pregnancy and am hoping against hope for a healthy, happy baby born naturally at home.
