How'd you pick your username?

I figured that since we will be getting to know each other for quite sometime we should share what our user name means. Some are puzzling and some are self explanatory.

Mine: I like lotus flowers. And lotus.blossom was available!

Now you go!

I wasn't inventive enough after logging on with a three month old attached to my boob. My life at the moment I signed up was sore sore sore bottom and a baby named Max at the boob ALL THE TIME. I wasn't me. I was Max'sMama. So, I am forever.

neat thread...i always wonder about UNs.

when i was signing up for mdc i was on the phone & i said to my friend "hey, it's ang" when she picked the phone up & i was like...oh, it's ang, that's perfect...hence itsang.

Mei Mei is my Chinese nickname. It literally means "little sister". I chose it because it's short and sweet and easy to remember. And it's almost always available!

Well...

When I first discovered the internet and the need for a 'user name'...I think I was like 15 years old lol...I decided on 'Alia_of_Dune'... Sort of a Dune Sci-Fi fan... The way its laid out makes it look like an important title lol...

Well then I wanted something that was more me...So my name is Ann and since I wanted to stick with the same theme, I decided on 'Ann_of_loxley'. Now, I am not a Robin Hood fan or from Notts myself...which is what people first assume. I just like the image it gives! hehe Reminds me of most things that are my favourite things...autumn leaves, trees, forests, medieval dress, castles, etc...

And thats my screen name for you

I severely lack creativity for coming up with things like creating screen names, and it causes great anxiety for me lol
So I was signing up trying to think of something to put and my daughter was trying to get my attention to tie her shoelace and said "Mother! Mama!" So I went with it LOL

glad I asked because itsang- I have been reading your name as "it sang" and not "its ang"

i think a lot of people do! if i would've realized, when i signed up, that i could have used spaces & apostrophes in usernames, i would've used them.

btw, i love your name lotus.blossom. i love lotus flowers. i have a big tattooed piece on my back that has lotus flowers in it.

I play in the Society for Creative Anachromism (SCA) and the persona name I chose was Matilda la Zouche. It's a stupid stupid club which I like very very much. Hundreds of thousands of people play in it around the world.

Matilda_z is never chosen as a username - anywhere! So if you see it somewhere, it's bound to be me.

When I was pregnant with E we didn't find out the sex before hand. "The lemur" was our nickname for him in utero. Hence lemurmommies. This time we're nicknaming the baking baby "the lentil."
