What is it that we all have against November? I am just like you!! I could care less for the month of November and therefore REALLY do not want a November baby!

So I was wondering what you mamas think about this since we're all due later Oct.-

Is it too early for me to start "walking the baby out" (aka- all the "natural induction" walking that moms do to try to go into labor?)

I'm 36 weeks as of today- should I wait to do all that excessive walking until next week?

Thanks in advance!

Lol, good to know I'm not alone-I feel silly being so against a month! Maybe it's because I love October SO MUCH, it's my birthday month, and Halloween.

Celticqueen, I started evening primrose oil and am going to try upping the sex as well-no induction technique will work if your body isn't ready-so I see no harm in starting =)

I LOVE Halloween and am hoping SO HARD this little one is around then so I can dress him/her up in a cute little newborn Halloween outfit. It's not so much that I'm against November, but I don't want to wait that long!

As for natural induction methods - I'm pretty set on having a full term baby. I wouldn't want to do anything that might send my body into labor before that, so I'd at least hold off until 37 weeks. Then again, we're on pelvic rest b/c my body was responding so well to DTD .... so maybe that's where my reluctance to do anything like that before term is from? But once we hit term (on Friday, yeah!!) I'll be resuming said fun activities and I will admit I won't be sorry if it results in baby coming earthside!

I've been cooped up in the house for the last few days, sleepy and achy. Today I finally got up and going (enough to visit the chiropractor and take a walk). And I walked and I walked and I walked. I will do the same tomorrow. This kid...is coming out- or at least he better make me believe that he's making progress towards wanting to come. I have a feeling I will love him SOOO much better when he is in my arms as opposed to in my ribs.

I also have been using the EPO like clock work. I really wonder if it's doing anything. I will be checked tomorrow at my appointment. As for sex? Its just not happening.

I am just tired of being so tired. It really wears thin. I had a couple of really good days last week but now I am back to being beat.

As soon as 37 weeks hits (Monday) I am going to start walking, having sex etc. I love being pregnant but at the same time I want to meet my LO realllllly badly LOL.

Just posting because I'm a late Oct. mama. Due the 21st. Will be 37 weeks on Tuesday. Frankly, I'm not ready at home yet. Physically, I'm pretty ready. I'm not expecting to go early though since I had my DD on her due date, but you never know.

I'm with you all the way trimesterdoula Going to start walking a ton either this week or next week. Still not sure when to REALLY do a lot of walking.

Do we have the same due date? I'll be 37 weeks on Monday as well.

I'm still here, still happy to be pg. Baby was turned via version (my choice) at 35.5 weeks and is still head down. I had a good cry and talk with my mw a few days later when she had me come by to check position; I feel much better about things now and am ready to welcome this little one whenever s/he is ready. She told me about her observations in her many years of experience of mamas and late-term breeches that really spoke to me. I just her so much! So that's what's going on here!

Oh wow what a lot to think about and deal with! So wait- is the baby head down now? If so, stay there baby!

Yep, baby has stayed head down since the version. : So glad as I didn't want to have to make the tough decision of birth (likely to be big) baby at home breech vs try for a hospital breech vs c/s, you know? Luckily my mw would be able to legally attend me at home with a breech, but we would all have to decide if that was what we were comfortable with (me, DH, mw and her assistant). Just so incredibly ecstatic baby is staying head down so far.

How are we doing? Are you getting jealous of all the moms posting their baby announcements on here? I am!

We're next though!

Woo hoo!

It's really funny because people keep asking what my ds1 will be for Halloween and I just blink at them and tell them "Hopefully a big brother" or "Well whatever he is for Halloween, I probably won't be there"

Other moms due around Halloween- have you gotten questions like this?

Oh and I was also going to say- the timing is so weird for us right now. To be honest, it would be best if the baby was a week or 2 early- for several very practical reasons that have just come up in the past few days regarding my husband's work.

So even though the baby will come when he wants- I'm really praying for an earlier healthy baby and this time not just because I'm uncomfortable.

Even though I care more about the health and safety of the baby first and foremost, I am still going to do what I can- lots of walking and sex, etc.

My view is if he doesn't want to join the world anytime soon, he won't, no matter what I try. At least that's how it was with my first...I tried every natural induction method for weeks and he was still a week overdue. Go figure.
