Same here! I'm approaching my one year anniversery at Etsy and I just can't believe how much it has changed my life. It has been amazing, and having a shop at Etsy has brought several wholesale accounts my way, too. I struggled so much being a SAHM--I just really missed working. This has been the *perfect* balance and the technical side of it is so easy and user-friendly.

Hey I have an etsy store also. 2 actually. I really need to over haul things a bit.
Does anyone use showcases? Have they worked for you. How about renewing items, are there certain times you find it most beneficial?

I haven't done a showcase and I tend to renew an item until I'm bored with it.

Hi! I'm trying to sell some stuff on etsy and my Visa card is not letting me. I've talked with my bank about it and they don't have many suggestions outside of telling me to get a prepaid credit card. Has anyone had problems with using their visa card?

I have a small shop at etsy for readings. I know that's not the right venue, but there are other reading vendors there so I thought I'd try it. Nothing. I am now making mosquito repellent salve and have other herbal creations in mind to put in my shop. I think those will do better as those are better items for the etsy market. I do crochet and other crafting too, but don't usually do them for something like etsy sales.

Etsy is a fabulous place to be and see. Some people really thrive there and that's marvelous!

Just updated my little shop this evening! I listed several items before my baby was born, and ended up selling a lot of things locally. That didn't help me "build" my store, but I appreciated the business.

Glad to hear so many positive things about etsy here. It's fun to see everyone's shops. I'll keep you in mind when I'm shopping for Christmas gifts.

I make jewelry, and, of course, etsy is full of jewelry...but I still love having a "shop", and I don't feel like I have to have the lowest price for competition's sake. I have some of my stuff in a local salon, and attach bus. cards with the etsy site for people to go to for more...

We're hanging in there--we've bagged the getting-frog-pregnant plan after a few years of attempts and a whole lot of nothing. Now, we're focusing on paying off the ttc-related debt and turtle's going to school for her auto tech cert.

I've been doing a BUNCH of tie-dye for the store. I'm really excited about it and getting better all the time (she said, modestly).

I have and etsy shop. I'm doing pretty well on it now. I had the store for nearly a year and didn't sell a thing. I had children's aprons, water bottle holders, and rolled up chalk boards. But nothing sold. But when I started listing the reusable sandwich wraps and snack bags, they have been going like crazy. I guess it's just a more popular item. I still have the aprons and things listed but I don't think I'm gonna renew them the next time they expire.

Hey mamas! I just opened my shop this month. I'm slowly working on stocking it up, I've been wanting to open one for awhile now. Especially since mamas always asked what was my website and I'd have to say I didnt have one. Now I do, but I'm still getting so many custom orders for things that I havent had a chance to add anything to the shop recently. I'll get there though.
