Our summer hiatus is over! The first fall meeting of the Baltimore chapter of the International Cesarean Awareness Network (ICAN) will be this Saturday, Sept. 13th at 10:30 a.m. ICAN is a support group for people dealing with all aspects of cesareans - recovery, prevention, planning, and vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC). Everyone is welcome - you don't have to have had a cesarean in order to attend. The location is:

St. Anthony of Padua Church
(rear entrance, drive around back and look for ICAN signs posted shortly before the start time)
4414 Frankford Ave
Baltimore 21206

Feel free to email me if you need directions.

Your chapter leader is extremely chemically sensitive. Please do not wear any perfume or other scented body products to meetings. Thanks for understanding.

Meetings are free and open to everyone. Please bring a simple snack to share if you'd like (but no worries if you can't.) We will be selling copies of our Baltimore area doula directory ($10 at meetings, $15 by mail) as well as national ICAN's book CESAREAN VOICES so bring your check book if you plan on buying anything. There is no assigned topic for this meeting - just plenty of time for sharing and support. Hope to see you there.
