born on Sept. 4th
7lbs, 9 oz and 6lbs, 6oz


Short version of the story: I was not in labor (38w 2d) but developed severe nerve pain and went to the hospital. Ended up having an emergency cesarean under general anesthesia because Baby B was in distress. This recovery is proving to be my most difficult yet and makes the homebirth with my twin girls look like a cake walk. Still grieving the loss of a peaceful birth but feeling very grateful for the safe arrival of my boys.

I was just thinking today, I wonder when she is going to have those babies? Be gentle with yourself as you recover and don't be afraid to let your village help you out.

So cute!! Congratulations mama! I had a emergency c with my last and also grieved the loss of my natural birth. The nicest thing anyone said to me was actually here on MDC. Something like "Protecting your baby is the most natual thing any mom can do!" and you protected your babies and made the best decision. Congrats!! ::
