What to do with outgrown diapers?

Before DD was born, I had made a bunch of newborn fitted diapers out of cute flannel and microfleece (from the free DD, Shar's and RRP patterns). She ended up being born at 42 wks and only fit her cloth diapers for 2 weeks before she got REAL chunky (yay breastmilk!). I'm wondering what other mamas do with their cloth diapers once they get too small for their LOs. We don't plan on having more babies so I'm wondering if I should just throw them out (because they're not seamstress perfect) or if I should give them away...

If you can find a friend to take them then it would be a wonderful gift to them. You could also consider selling them on diaperswappers for cheap.

www.miraclediapers.com takes any kind of used cloth diapers and loans them to families in need. If you don't think you can sell them, please consider donating them. I am sure the families that are being helped won't care too much about their look.

i give them away but save a few for her "doll diaper" and she is using them and love its the "real thing!"

I'm saving mine for future kids, but if you're sure you won't use them, why don't you offer them on diaperswappers as FFS for a mom who needs them, or see if miracle diapers or another similar service would be interested? Then you'd be doing something really nice to help out others!

Could you use them as rags or something?

How about donating them to a local woman's shelter, or DHS office so that someone who could really use them, gets them. I would choose the miracle diapers if you don't mind sending them off. If you want to just get rid of them donate them locally instead.

Also, sorry to offend anyone, but friends of ours swear that diapers make the best gun cleaning rags.

I would be interested in purchasing them if you want to sell them.

Lend a Hand Diapers is a great place to donate your gently used diapers even if they aren't "seamstress perfect". If they're useable, someone will be able to use them and will likely be very happy to receive them.
