Mosquito repelant?

My DD1's soccer coach let us know that there are quite a few mosquitos around the practice field. I hve a 6 week old... What can I use for her t keep them away? Someone told me you can use fabric dryer sheets? Does this work? Anything else work?

'badger balm' do an anti bug balm, which is 100% natural - you will have to contact them to see if it safe to use on a 6 week old.
I would not recommend using fabric conditioner or dryer sheets as these are both very toxic.

I have been told that spraying items, like if she is in a sling, maybe spray the ouside of it, with some listerine. I recently purchased California baby bug spray for my LO, but he is nine months. You could always cover youself with a mosquito net!

I second this...100%! I love the Badger insect repellant, but wouldn't put it on a babe. Instead, I would put it on myself and wear the babe (putting him/her in a long-sleeved tee and knit pants).

I found (by accident) that California Baby's "I Love You" spray - which is actually sold as an aromatherapy - works great to repel the mosquitos. When my lo was really small I sprayed it on my hand and gently brushed it over his skin. He had absolutely NO bites, and I would watch the mosquitos buzz a bit away from his skin but not land on him.

It's a very gentle product with a very mild smell. They should sell it as a bug repellent - it works great.
