Hi there, I hope I am posting this in the right place. This forum is SO big I'm still learning to navigate it!

Anyway, on with the question: I just bought my kiddos a playhouse of their very own. They are so excited they want it built RIGHT NOW! And have been wanting it built right now for the past few weeks :

One half of our little 9ft wide 20ft long patio is completely dirt! and the other half is cracked ugly cement. The left half is the dirt and the right half is the cement. I need the playhouse to go on the left half because thats where the kitchen window is in my house and thats where I feel most comfortable with it...except for that the playhouse has NO FLOOR! And the dirt is all uneven in little hills all over.

How can I make the dirt flat? What can I put on top of the dirt to make it a safe clean place to put the playhouse on for my kids to play (especially for 8mo. old ds who is learning to crawl)? And most of all, is there a way to do this without spending a TON a $?
Please help!
P.S. astroturf was just on the news and is now thought to have lead in the fibers...so there goes that idea
