hormonal changes and b.o.

After 18 years of being on birth control pills, I have switched to FAM. I stopped taking the pill about 2 months ago. For years, I have been using rubbing alcohol spritzed under arm for deodorant, with excellent results (i.e. no b.o. unless I forgot to use it). But I have noticed that since I went off the birth control pills, I reek! But only from one pit! I am fairly sure that I am excreating estrogen from my fatty tissues, especially since I am doing a pharmacutical detox with a homeopathic remedy (which will conclude soon). Today I bought a mineral salt spray to use, since I know that sometimes, what once worked no longer suits a body's needs. I'm just wondering if this has happened to anyone else or if it makes sense that this would be happening.

This is timely. I was not on hormonal BCP, but I had a copper IUD. I recently had it removed because it was causing adverse reactions. My left pit stinks. Not just a light scent, but absolutely stinks. I use a natural deodorant and it is not helping! I know, that doesn't help you much, but I just thought I would add that you are not alone.

I am planning to do a cleanse thanks to the toxicity of the IUD. I am hoping that will make a difference!

Good luck.

Well, at least I know now this seems to be normal. The mineral salt spritz seems to be working well for me this past week.

I NEVER had an issue with BO until I got pregnant... even then it wasn't horrible but definitely worse than before. And post partum too...now (almost 2 1/2 years later) it's starting to go away...so I do think it is hormone related. After reading a lot of reviews I decided to try oyin handmade funk butter deodorant and I love it. It smells yummy and really works.
