PostPartum Doula or Mothers Helper

Thread Starter
Hi ladies, I am looking into getting either a postpartum doula or some sort of care provider that can help me after my new baby is born.
I am a military spouse and my husband is currently away and may not be able for the birth of the baby and this will be #3 for me and i dont have any family in the area and just a few really good friends...one of my friends is going to be watching my kids during the birth, I have a birth support doula and will have one or two post partum visits with her and another friend who is going to be with me while I birth BUT its after the birth that is worrying me.
Im afraid that I simply wont have the help I need and wont be able to rest and recover as I will need to as ill have to be caring for my 3 kids.

Anyone know of a good affordable post partum doula or someone who would be willing to come a few hours a day a few days a week to keep watch over my 2 1/2 year old and do a few household chores for me ect. ? I have a 6 year old but she is at school during the day and when home a big help but my son is a different story

Please be in touch if you can help me in any way!

It looks like Jen Sugar does PP doula care - http://www.jenthedoula.com/ and Jen Verdery lists it in services - http://www.educatedbirthing.vpweb.com/default.html

I would give them both a call and see if they can help! Good Luck!!
