Solid colored long sleeve t-shirts in a brick and mortar store?

I would like to find some plain, solid colored long sleeved t-shirts for my boys, but they don't seem to exist. They both have short sleeved shirts that they love and I'd like to have long sleeves to wear under them and on their own. Eveything seems to have *something* on it these days. Am I going to have to order expensive ones online or is there an actual store that sells them for not so much?

There are a few here:

Old Navy might have some as well as Gymboree. I thought I saw some at Target yesterday, but that's not what I was looking for, so I don't remember specifically.

I just looked at Old Navy and Gymboree online and it looks like The Children's Place has the best price at around 5 bucks each.

Thank you ladies. I don't actually make it to stores that often, but was hoping to go to a store rather than order online. I'll have to head to Children's Place one of these days and see if they have the same deal in the store.

Last winter Target had Cherokee brand solid long sleeve t-shirts in the boy department. They were $5.99 each and have held up really well (my son will wear his again this year.) Hopefully they will have them again.

Either order online at hanes.com, or see if stores sell the "Hanes® Heavyweight Long-Sleeve Youth T-Shirt".

I really love the things I've ordered from Hanes, and I can't wait to buy some simple things for DS from them!

H&M - at least for girls (picked up some for my dd the other day).

Just bought long sleeved solid color t shirts at The Children's Place for $5 each.

Target has them, around $5, but in those annoyingly drab "boy" colors. They've got some striped as well, in more interesting colors. We also like target's long underwear PJs...in the winter DS sleeps in them & then throws on a T-shirt & jeans over them to be instantly dressed.

Sometimes you can find the solid color Lands End super tees on the LE overstock site. I have also bought a lot of the solid short sleeve boys "Ultimate" tees at Target. They go on sale at least a couple times a season and on sale they are a great buy. I haven't seen their solid color long sleeve tees though. The heaviest, softest solid long sleeve tees I have ever bought DS were from Gap, but even on the clearance rack they were still closer to $10.

I try not to shop there, but was looking for the same for ds last year and found them at Walmart :

Just a thought... have you tried a craft shop like A.C. Moore or Michael's? I get a lot of plain tops for my DS there.

H&M. They always have lots of long sleeved t`s. Either with stripes, or in one color. And they are usually at a good price, too.

Jiffy Shirts has lots of colors. They are under $5 and shipping starts at $6.50 and goes down from there, depending on how much you spend. They tend to ship FAST too.
HTH!
