Pumpkin decorating ideas

Hi ladies!
I'm looking for some fairly easy (and cheap) pumpkin decorating ideas. I'm having a birthday party for my daughter close to Halloween and thought we'd do some pumpkin decorating. The kids at the party will be 3 and 4 years old so something appropriate for that age group.

TIA for your ideas!

-Paint or markers! Can't go wrong there. Package of sharpies, no more than 3 paint colors, and a dropcloth. You can use q-tips and fingers for "brushes" to make clean-up easier (and cheaper)
-Glue and glitter (okay, maybe not glitter with 3-4's)
-Glue and Halloween confetti (easier to keep out of little eyes than glitter)
-Glue and pre-cut felt or craft foam shapes-- actually, I think I saw some where they used cheap thumb-tacks to stick on the shapes, but not sure if that would be too much danger for your 3-4's-- depends on how many adults are helping.

You can ask each kid to wear old clothes, or make them all "smocks" from plastic garbage bags-- Cut the bottom off, cut "tabs" so there is a tie on each side at the top and another tie at the waist (slit up the middle). Can't do that little picture thing I was trying for...
If you use white bags, you can draw a ghost face on the front with marker for your little goblins...

That's all I got.
I Halloween!

DD1 (3.5) attended a bday party for 4yo the other day and they had pumpkin crafts. VERY messy (they didn't have smocks but that would have been brilliant) but the kids had a blast.

They had tempura paint, different brushes/painting tools (they used their fingers, leaves, brushes, sponges cut into "hallowwen/harvest" shapes), and yarn to stick in the paint or tie on the stem as "hair".

Yep, this is exactly what I had in mind WITH the smocks. Glad to hear she had a really great time!

I like these cuties from Family Fun (more ideas). These are cute too and would be super easy for little kids. Maybe even have some yarn for hair.
