How did you find a doc that was ok with not vaxing/being selective/delaying? - Page 2

I know one FP doc here that will take delayed vax for sure. That's the only one I know of in my area. I don't understand why many docs won't take non-vaxed or delayed vaxed patients.

Where in AR are you?

I just started going to a new office in Western AR and they didn't question vaxes. Hoping that it continues this way....

Because they can't make enough money off them? Because bullying everyone into vaxing "or else" keeps the other parents in line and not questioning vaxes, and therefore the doc has higher avg revenue per patient?

I am 3.5 hours from LR and 4 from Memphis (and 3 from Fayetteville and 3 from Springfield, MO, basically the middle of a black hole!).

We had an awesome doc when we lived in Little Rock, but its too far to travel when ds is sick. If we only ever went for WBVs it would be no biggie.

It's "only" about $100 usually for a doc visit with a FP, so it might be worth it to consider checking out the docs that aren't covered by your insurance. If you can find some sleepy little practice with a single physician in his own little place, it would probably be best. Those guys tend to be really non-interventive and mellow about shots. (I suspect because most of their patients are adults and virtually 'unvaccinated' by today's standards, so they're less inclined to think it's shots keeping everyone alive, unlike their pedi counterparts, who really do seem to believe the only reason all their patients aren't dead is because of the totally necessary vaccinations they provide.)
