Bonjour, First I would need to know when you'll be visiting. There are lots of things to do as well as not so many. I have 3 children, 5,8 and 13. I think we've seen everything there is around Montreal, Laval. I am a "Lavaloise" and work in Montreal. How old are your children? How many days will you be staying here? Will you always be with another adult? If you can be more precise I think I could be helpful. If you mention Laval, I guess it's for a precise reason...nobody thinks of Laval as a place of interest. Of course there are things to do but...
If you don't have much time to reply, here are some places of interest: Centre de la Nature (Laval), apple picking (Laval or near Saint-Joseph du Lac), Cosmodome (Laval), Jungle adventure (indoor, noisy for those days when the kids have to get rid of the extra energy), Parc de le Rivière des Mille îles (Laval, rent a boat, paddle and enjoy visiting the islands.), jean-Talon market(Montreal), La grande bibliothèque (a new public library in Montreal), Montreal's Botanical garden (Halloween special and chinese lanterns), Insectarium, Biosphere, Biodome, redpath museum (Montreal, McGill University campus), Montreal has many parks of different sizes and scatered everywhere on the island. Those are only the major places, I could be more specific if you wish.
That's it for now...
