Heroes Season 3 - Page 3

you might be on to something with the clone of Nikki...

if you read the comics - there was a clone army created by the company and then used in a big fight between those with powers and those without

Mohinder, the mad scientist - yeah, you always have to watch out for the scientist in comic books... Doctor Doom, Mister Sinister, Norman Osbourne (became the Green Goblin), Otto Octavius (Doc Oc), Dr. Johnathan Crane (Scarecrow), Victor Fries (Mr. Freeze)... Lex Luthor was a scientist too, I think?

And then there's the classic example -- Dr. Jekyll.

Future Ando & Hiro - I've noticed a bit of a pattern in the show. The good guys have red powers (Future Peter had red energy blasts, Claire's mother has red fire [and we have to assume that she's good at this point]) and the bad guys have blue (Future Sylar had blue energy blasts, one of the escapees from Level 5 has blue flames, etc.).

Future Ando had red... so I'm thinking he was up against a future Evil Hiro.

Sylar Petrelli - Hmm... I wonder if Sylar and Peter are actually fraternal twins, intentionally seperated at birth? It would explain why they're near equals.
ooooo... spiderdust, you are GOOD! Excellent analysis! My brain so doesn't work like this. DH is constantly predicting the outcomes to movies, and thinks it's lame that I don't. I suppose I just like being surprised/entertained!

About Sylar... he still can be killed, can't he? Right through the brain, where Claire and Peter were?? And I guess the whole Sylar's a Petrelli thing means Claire is Sylar's niece?

oh yeah... whatever happened to Peter's Irish love interest? Caitlin, I think, was her name. Still stuck in the future of disease? Or did she get un-stuck, since that future never happened because Peter destroyed the virus??:

Poor Caitlin.
I was wondering about her too. Peter doesn't seem to be thinking of her at all.

Yep, Elle's energy was blue.

It didn't make sense to me either.

That, and I was screaming at the screen during the makeout scene what happened to professional detachment?!

Was there a romantic relationship between them last season that I slept through? I've been known to doze off while watching tv, so it's possible.

I also think it made perfect sense that Mohinder took the serum. He's always been on the outside looking in. He was the replacement kid for the one his parents really loved. Even though he had the same profession as his father they didn't get along. He's very frustrated and feels a bit responsible for stopping people like Sylar.

Anyway, what kind of acting was that to display such charisma. It wasn't just the shirtlessness. IT was the sound of his voice and the way he moved. I probably aught to take another look to make sure. I always liked his voice even if I thought the words were hoky in the voiceovers. It works with my theory that the writers don't quite know what to do with the character and it's not the actor messing it up.

I don't think Mohinder will go bad. Him getting the side effects reinforces that he's still the same guy.

BTW Any other Veronica Mars fans getting a giggle?

(I think Mohinder will end up turning into Uluru!) :

Did you guys know that Sendhil Ramamurthy went to school here in San Antonio, TX? His parents are doctors, according to wikipedia. I googled them -- there are some doctors named Ramamurthy here in town. (We have a high Indian population, though, so Ramamurthy could be as common as Gonzalez here.)

I think they just wanted an excuse for him to rip his shirt off.

Anyway, it's not enough to make me quit watching. Especially since I'm feeling so superior about predicting that Sylar is actually a Petrelli.
OK, I'll give the writers a bit of a break on the "out of charachter" behavior for Suresh. I think the issue here is that perhaps he's getting his own 'delusions of grandeur' which are starting to show. That he thinks that everything can be quantified/figured out, etc.

Aren't scientists and the scientific community guilty of that on multiple levels?

I mean, look at things like childbirth and formula feeding...look what human 'science' has done. Believing that we can fool around with nature without any negative consequences seems to be a general trend you see there.

Call it scientific arrogance, or even human arrogance. It appears to be one of *his* flaws.

AND, consider the fact that the dude has been living a rather surreal life, not very centered, under a lot of stress. He might figure...what the hell...?

I just watched it. (We record it so we can watch after kidlets have settled in for the night.)

Thoughts?

I think we're going to find out that there was some kind of "Heroes Breeding Program" or something...there are just TOO many of them who have been given up for adoption to non-Hero families. So now we have Nikki and Tracy who are apparently twins separated at birth, Claire, Sylar...Sylar is certainly younger than Nathan and either just a bit older than Peter, or younger...so it makes no sense that she "gave him up" w/o anyone remembering or knowing?

So thats what i'm thinking...that maybe when Mrs Petrelli said she "gave him up" she doesnt mean that she actually gave birth to him, but that she chose not to raise him...maybe all these Heroes were created in a lab? Or something?? (I mean at an embryonic level??)

I also suspect that we'll find out that somehow Claire and Peter arent related at all...there is just too much sexual tension there, i even remember something being mentioned about it (like "Whoa she's your niece") in the dvd commentary voice overs. I mean, Peter seems way more interested in Claire than Nathan is, and he is her father.

I think Claire's bio mom is creepy.

I wish Sylar would tweeze his eyebrows a little bit...they are freaking me out. But he's still sexy.

Can Maya please get her brain chopped open by sylar soon? What a waste of a character, and a stupid power. We fastfwd through the love scene. Blech. I'm ok with seeing Mohinder all nakey and hot and bothered but those two together? Uh, no.

I don't think they were typical twins separated at birth. Dr. Zimmerman said, "I created you". So, I'm with your idea that some or all of the heroes were created in a lab. Tracy and Nikki are more likely clones as others have mentioned.

Don't forget Nikki's sister. She had a sister that died that had the same name as her alter ego, Jessica.

Adam has been around for over 300 years. So I don't think they've all been created but it wouldn't surprise me if many were.

I do wonder if they all were created in a lab....Hmmm. Interesting.

So how did Maya go from being okay looking in the last season to this total sexpot this season? I don't like the look they've given her, it's not believable to me.
I'm liking the softer side of Sylar. I was having a hard time seeing the sexiness in him when he was pure evil before. But now I'm really starting to like his character. Ando is getting on my nerves...I think he is going to go to the dark side soon.
I wonder if maybe the older Heroes (the parents...Mrs. Petrelli, Hiro's dad, etc) thought they could "breed" more heroes by combining hero sperm and hero egg in a lab, placing the resulting offspring in adoptive homes, and seeing if powers manifest (dont know if non heroes would have carried the fetuses to term or what...havent gotten that far in my theory! or maybe they have a whole secret lab w/ artificial wombs?? ). So Nikki/Tracy could be twins, or clones, or whatever, raised in seperate homes. And i'm unclear if Nikki's sister (the one that died??) was also a twin? Hmmm....

But didnt Lindermann say something like "we thought it would be easier if she looked familiar" or something similar, about Tracy...so....what if they JUST created her (with fake memories, fake history etc...they have connections and money they could totally do that!), a clone, and placed her in that job in DC solely to entice Nathan back to politics??

Personally, i think they backed themselves into a corner killing Nikki last season, regretted it but didnt want to revisit the whole louisiana storyline (with the cousin), so they just started over w/ the same actress.

Is the little girl who can locate people totally out this season? I know they mentioned taking her somewhere safe. What about Micah, i'm assuming he'll have more of a storyline, i thought it was cool he knew Tracy wasnt his mom immediately.

what if Adam is daddy to them all? LOL at least all the "clones". He had major powers right? So they had him captured, took his junk and made babies each with individual powers. Then comes along Peter/Sylar (twins? or no?) who can absorb.

Plus, Hiro was given half of something - what if its how to clone them?

What happened to Mya's accent? all the sudden she can speak perfectly clear english?

I thought the new Nikki/Tracy was a clone. How else would someone look so much like Nikki and not be her?
That reminds me to ask, what happened with Micah's cousin, the one with photographic physical memory? Did she die in the explosion?

=========

Yes, there has to be a reason the guy's name is Adam.

Mama Petrelli said something in this last episode, I can't remember what, that could mean that she's not exactly Sylar's mother (dag nabbit!).

I think if they were close enough in age, Nathan would not have even realized Sylar existed. Also, back in the 70's (presumably when Petrelli would have been pregnant) she may have worn big, loose clothes.

Dr. Zimmerman referenced "Barbara" when Tracy showed up. I think there were multiples or clones. Perhaps scientifically divided eggs creating identical multiples. Still don't know how ppl get their powers, though.

They were in a relationship IRL. I don't know if they still are, though. I think that accounts for the on-screen sexual tension. I'm seeing less of it this season, so far.

I know her from another show. She's creepy in that one, too. It may just be the actress. She does bring a good creep vibe to this character, though.

OMG, I half-expected them to crawl off his face. They look like hairy caterpillars. And yes, he is a good looking guy!

They've got to do more w/ her character. Right now she's just there. She could become a hero or a villain w/ that power, but they've gotta do something.
