Friday postpartum - 9/12/08

Happy Friday everyone!

It's a bit gloomy here in Atlanta and I doubt the weather will clear up. Oh well, no need to make the day seem worse.

We had a great night last night. Kendall went to bed about 9, woke up at 10, went back to sleep at midnight, woke up at 3, went back to bed at 330 , woke up at 6:30, went back to bed at 6:40 and woke up for good at 8:30. Here it is 9:17 and he's napping again. Not a bad night in my book. I plan to nap more during the day with him so I candeal with the night. I might even use that time at night when he's wide awake to workout. Speaking of working out, I've decided to dust off my Tae-bo tapes and use them. The walking is great but I tend to do it around shopping centers and end up spending money.

No big plans for the day since the weather is so gloomy. Probably just finish folding clothes and figure out what to order for dinner tonight and watch some movies. I hope everyone has a great day!:

I finally have the energy, the brainpower and the free hands to post in the postpartum thread. Yay!

Nothing much to post, though, actually. Per our midwife's recommendation, we stopped waking Noa to eat a couple of nights ago. The first night I was pretty concerned because she only woke us once at around 430 (we had been waking her after a 4 hour stretch, and then again every 2 hours). But last night she woke us at 1230, 330, 730 and then she got me to finally drag my butt out of bed at almost 10. Seems like her internal alarm clock is working pretty well...

It's rather dreary in the San Francisco Bay Area too. If I get an energy burst I'm going to make a simple cauliflower soup. The veggies in the fridge have been aging, thanks to the really wonderful folks who've brought us meals -- but I don't want them to go to waste.

Warm wishes,
nk

We had a good night's sleep, too. Colin fell asleep about 10ish, woke at 3:15 and then slept until about 8. Unfortunately, I think it's due to the fact that my preschoolers brought home a cold that they've shared with everyone. Anyway, he does seem less stuffed up today, so I think he'll be feeling better soon.

We were out and about most of the morning - DH had the consultation for his vasectomy and we just walked around town and ran some errands between that and picking up the kids from school. Colin still LOVES the sleepy wrap and we had a nice walk.

I'm looking forward to the weekend - my mom and dad are coming up tomorrow and I've really missed them lately.

Happy Friday!
