Still working?

Anyone else still working? I only get three months off so I wanted to wait until the very last minute. My work hired a temp. replacement and Monday I start training them. I'm due next Friday but plan to work up until labor starts.

Man, I am so not focused... for example I'm on this forum instead of writing reports or making phone calls. I'm checking etsy.com for cute baby goodies instead of working.

I'm not due for two weeks, but planning to work up until then. Similar situation - I'd rather have the 12 weeks of FMLA after the baby is here, then sitting around.

I'm trying to focus my efforts on getting work wrapped up so I can stop stressing about it and relax enough to let this baby come :-)

I am. I own my own business though, so I'm trying to get as much done as possible before having my sub-contractor step in and cover for me.

i was supposed to work until 39 weeks and she came at 38 So I worked until 4 hours before labor began...same reasons I wanted my short leave to be with her,

I'm still working, too. I actually like it because it keeps me from perseverating about when I'm going to give birth too much. But the, "You're still here!?" comments are getting kind of annoying. * Jaime

Yep - I'm due next Saturday and am still working. I worked up until right before my daughter too.

I am an attny and have stopped going to court. I just go to the office. I'm working from home too some. And have cut back some hours.

I'm due a week from today. I'm self-employed and stopped working after Labor Day, but I just took on a bit of new work today. Oh well! It will help build up the bank account since I am the bread winner of the household.

Still working. I'm gonna start cutting my hours back starting next week as I'll be 38 weeks then and I just really feel like I need to rest and relax before the baby comes. Because of the way they do maternity leave at work I have no reason to save my annual/sick leave for it so I get to burn the 2 weeks before the baby comes without compromising my 6/8 weeks post baby leave. Which is great. On the down side I've kinda cleared my calendar early and don't really have a whole lot to do now....just sitting and waiting. Some bsing w/ coworkers. Pretty bored actually.

I am a critical care nurse and am scheduled to work up to my due date. Work had been a little slow the past couple weeks so I got to take some call time and not work all my scheduled hours, plus everybody is good about helping me out and making sure I'm not working too hard/lifting too much/overdoing it. The last week has been busy at work though and more tiring for me. I was having quite a few contractions at work last night and my coworkers were a little nervous as the OB floor at our hospital was overfull and they threatened to make me deliver in CCU! Baby hung in there though, hoping OB isn't quite so busy when he decides to make his appearance.

I'm still working too and plan on working until labor starts. I'm taking 12 weeks also and want to use all of it after the baby is here!
