Digital x-rays?

I have been searching for a dentist that will not require x-rays. Need one for myself and for my 3 year old daughter b/c I want to have a dentist she can go to.

Mostly people say x-rays are required but someone today said they use digital x-rays that have so little radiation they don't even require a lead apron. I'm wondering what you mamas think about these?

TIA

The thing to remember about digital x-rays is that most offices have no way to sending them to a different office....or will be very difficult about it. So if you want/need a second opinion you'll need another set of films done.

Responding to my own post in case anybody else is interested -- I found this source that says that radiation is not necessarily any less in digital than traditional x-rays: http://www.mindfully.org/Technology/...tal29nov05.htm
