Oh, I am counting on it. Moon, bring me my baby!

I am due the 14th w/ #3 and am having painful, crampy cx already (for the past 1 1/2 wks but its seems they are getting worse every day).

It would be great to see lots of birth announcements after the full moon.

Oh, I'm counting on that full moon. I don't want to end up with an induction (which might be what i'll get if I don't deliver by the 16th). I'm also due on the 14th.

I'm due tomorrow. Been having cramping and ctx but nothing too serious yet. I'm hoping for the 14th, but 15th would be fine too. Just don't want to go a week over because that means I have to go face my OB again for an NST and we kinda "broke up".

Between the hurricane this weekend and the full moon on Monday - I totally expect a Tuesday child - if not before!

Umm I am already 5 days over my edd. I will take any excuse right now for baby to come.

I started a thread about this a few days ago. I finally did a google search and what I read was part good part bad. The articles pretty much said that for those mamas who will have their water break at or before labor begins, the moon can definitely bring it on. The gravitational pull of the moon can affect the bag of water just like it can affect the oceans. But the bad part, is that the full moon, while it can make Bh's more numerous, it won't bring on the real dialating ones. So, that is part of the reason the hospitals will fill up on full moon nights. Lots of mamas to be will be going in thinking that they are in labor because of all these contractions, but they will be checked and rechecked with not change, and then sent home. So while I am exited that the full moon could bring me my baby, I do not want it to cause my bag of water to break beforehand, and if the moon does bring on contractions, I will not be a happy woman if it only brings on a full day of BH's. Last months full moon did that. Every half hour from when I woke to when I went to bed. I got a taste of what prodomal labor could be like, and it was not fun at all! We'll see what happens!

Interesting! I looked up this thread because last night I was having lots of BH's and I haven't had them much this pregnancy, and then I looked outside and saw that bright shining moon. I kept dreaming I was about to go into labor but I was going, "noooooo!!! I'm not ready yet!"

My mom had me on a full moon, but it hasn't seemed to have had much effect on when I go into labor, lol.

No full moon babe here....still not ready.

OK the full moon did nothing for me! The most promising thing was 2.5 hrs of contractions on Saturday night. Since then things have been dormant around here (I mean as far as contractions... baby is still moving like crazy).

I was worried the full moon might start labor for me, so very happy baby is still put. But each night from Friday on I had hours of "practice" cramping and contractions. I would try to sleep, but invariably woke up to see the huge giant moon shining through my window directly on me! By morning uterus was always calm and relaxed. Hoping tonight is not so intense, and that I get another week of pregnancy...

My midwife had THREE births between Sunday and this morning. Pretty high number since she only takes 5-6 people per month...

I know many of you will hate thinking about this, but I'm shooting for the NEW moon in two weeks!!
