While doing them out of Noro would be like so much nicer- I really just want to knit up a pair to test out for Christmas gifts.... And since I am putting together a knitpicks order- something from there would be great and bump me to free shipping! Maybe 4 balls of WOA? Wait a minute- Noro Kureyon is only 50 gr? How do you get 2 slippers out of only 100 grams? is that possible? Maybe I really only need 2?

Also- I think I want to knit tatiana and want to know a suitable knitpicks alternative. http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEfall08/PATTtatiana.html

It seems like it should be a sport weight- but I am not sure?

I think the WOA would work well; it's a bit lighter than the noro so would felt a bit less dense but should be close. And I would think that 2 balls would be enough. I use less than 2 balls to make average size felted slippers.

The yarn called for in Tatiana is fingering weight, so maybe palette or essential sock yarn would work.
