Hmmm...what to do? What to do?

Ok first, go look here. See that yarn? That's what this post is about.

I originally balled off enough (I think ) for some longies for DD2. I had no idea how to dye it, I just knew I would be using my new dyes ( flapjack!). I ran across some inspiration and that's what I ended with. Not quite what I was going for but I still like it (and am pretty damn proud what with it being my first non food/kool-aid dye! ). Now I'm not sure about those longies. The legs would not be the same in any sense of the word. I think I'm ok with that. Not sure. Add on to that my sudden doubt it's enough and I'm just not sure. I was tihnking about maybe winging it and creating some Babyology knock offs essentially. I'm not sure how those fit though so I hesitate.

So what would you do? Should I say screw it and knit those longies and then just embellish them to somewhat tie the legs into each other? Or find something else?

OK- I'm confused. Do you have 2 balls or one giant? If you have 2 balls then you could do a tbo longies. If you have one you could felt on cool funky embellishments to make them look totally unique. Either way they will be great!

Just one large one.

In order to achieve what you wish, you would need to knit in one piece to the gussets, take off your gusset stitches, cast on 4 at front and back (8 total) and continue knitting in the round to your desired length. You would then unleash the hounds (get your sewing machine out) and steek each leg then seam it together. Job done It would result in a huge amount of finishing, but it could be worth it.
It all depends. Do you love the yarn... or not?

ETA: for those who are wondering, I know OMM and I both use Picky Pants pattern.

ETAA: I'd do purple at the top, orange at the bottom and some of your infamous badass ruffles. Crochet seams for stability. Sod it, just stick it in the postbox and I'll knit them up for you

It obviously can be done, but would involve some effort.

I have yet to start. I'm nervous. I've never steeked before. And I tend to procrastinate. I'm definitely going to give it a try though! When I do it will be a photo heavy step by step blogged process.

You can do it! Can't wait to see some steeking...I keep thinking I'll try it, then I magically come up with a different solution (read: less daring; I'm such a wimp!).

And I totally bookmarked your blog this time! lol
