So last night we get the billionth call asking if labor has begun or the baby is here yet. I've just stopped even answering the phone for most people (I love caller ID and the ignore button).
DH answered and it was his mom. She asked, like everyone else, that we call her when I go into labor. DH told her that when it happens he's going to call the midwife and then he's got to focus on me. That he won't be able to just get on the phone and start calling people.
So afterwards we were talking about it and how people just need to be patient and stuff. How we are going to have a lot on our minds and a lot to do and why do people expect that they have a right to be notified when I'm in labor or get a call immediately after the birth?
Do I sound "witchy"?
Anyway, DH had the best sum up statement:
"I'm not going to worry about everyone else. They've already had their chance and this moment with their own kids. This is our moment."
