What if my bedroom ends up too hot to birth in?

My plan is to have a water birth in my bedroom while my son and chosen birth caretaker will be playing around the house until its time for baby to actually be born. My worry is that my room gets so hot during the day. I live in FL and my bedroom just doesn't get the a/c as well as the rest of the house. It gets so hot that it is uncomfortable to even take a nap in there in the afternoon (which is why I'm no longer napping right now!) So...I don't know what to do. I joked to DH that I'm going to have to pull the birth pool into the living room. He said I just better make that decision before we fill it up.

The thing is, I WANT to birth in my bedroom. I don't want to be in the living room where other people need to be. I want the option of privacy in my bedroom. But...what if it is just way too hot? Maybe I just need to decrease the a/c temp down a whole lot more and hope that helps???

my bedroom is on the 3rd floor of our house, so it's usually a bit warmer than the rest of the house. we used a fan to help cool it down. we put it near one of the AC vents to help pull the air out. definitely helped.
do you have a fan? or can you get one?

I am in a hot area also and i've turned the ac down the past few days. You could always have cooler water in the birth pool rather than hotter water. Just know that everything will work out just fine and you will have your baby in your arms very soon.

Are you worried about you, or the baby? The baby will prefer the warmer atmosphere - but laboring and being all hot and sweaty, well that just isn't gonna be fun at all.

Hope you can find a way to cool it off in there. Fans, and lots of ice water to drink should help.

Worried about it being too hot for me. I know baby will like it warm when she is born...but yes, worried about it being too hot for me as it is often too hot to nap in there. I think I will just try turning the a/c down even more when I know I am in labor. And we have a big box fan we can use as well. There is also a ceiling fan. Hopefully that will all help. Although I don't like the "wind" blowing on me that much either as that can irritate me. But I did like my mom fanning me when in labor with DS. So I guess it will all work out one way or another.
