Removing ink from clothes

My husband decided to do laundry yesterday, and ended up washing a blue ink pen with the clothes. Everything is covered in ink now (mostly white clothing!) Is there any way to get it out??

My sis raves about Quick n Brite and it is enviro friendly...not sure if it is availble in stores though or only online?

I have also read about blotting and working the stain with rubbing alcohol...but I've never given it a try. Might be worth looking up online?

I totally recommend Woolite Oxy Deep. It says it is for stain removal and laundry. I used it on my couch when my boys used a pen to draw all over it and it all came out. Good luck!

My DH recently did something similar, and didn't notice until after the clothes had gone through the dryer. We tried everything we could think of, and nothing removed the stains.

I've used the rubbing alcohol method with some success. Just soak in rubbing alcohol and blot out the stain with an old rag.

I had some success with cheap hair spray and Dawn. Not the most green method, but it saved most of a load of clothes. Just don't put them through the dryer until the stains are gone. I'd do the hair spray then dawn over the spot, wash the clothes, check the stain, repeat...until most were gone.

Alcohol or hair spray with alcohol in it has always done the trick to me. You just need to rub it really good then wash it.

Another alcohol and cheap hair spay vote. The cheapest hair sprays work the best.
