Three year going to the dentist TOMORROW! Please help!

My mom has taken it upon herself to make my ODS (3yrs old) an appointment for TOMORROW for the dentist. He has a spot in between his front two teeth, that could quite possibly be a cavity, but not sure. I have no idea what to expect when we go. We are fairly natural minded, so I don't want a bunch of chemicals in his mouth or him given lots of drugs if they need to fix his tooth. Is it common that they do that? I have no idea. All I know is my mom was told for him not to have anything to eat or drink after midnight in case they need to fix his teeth. Well, how necessary is it for this spot to be fixed? Its been there a long time, isn't getting any worse that we can see, and isn't causing any discomfort at all. I'm sure we are going to get flack for not using/ worshiping fluoride, and I need some comebacks for when they start telling me how wonderful it is. Can anyone help us out?

Scour this website: www.curetoothdecay.com
There are two threads on here: Healing early childhood caries with nutrition, and Treating Cavities with Nutrition (or something like that). I'll see if I can find them for you.
