Is it safe to soak in the tub and/or have sex after your membranes are stripped?

You should be ok to soak in a clean tub but I would probably avoid intercourse.

I was always ok with intercourse as long as membranes were intact. By the time I had my membranes stripped, I'd been losing plug for weeks!

AS long as your membranes are intact, you are safe to do both of those things. Infection is only a risk after waters rupture.

I had mine stripped today and my mw specifically said go home and have sex. So I guess it is safe...
