What are "skid marks"? I see people mention them - I get the impression they are less intense than tears?

They are just minor tears that can't be sutured, and don't need to be. Like less than a 1st degree tear.

It sounded to me more like a stretch mark...but I guess that's not right? If the tear is so small why do women say they hurt more with a skid mark?

my mw describes it as just the top layer skin tearing...not all the way through...no repair needed...but they still burn when you pee...
