Exercise while still bleeding postpartum?

I normally teach a step aerobics class twice a week and plan to resume teaching. I just had a baby on August 18th and am still experiencing post partum bleeding. Is it ok to resume my exercise routine...? Or should I wait till I stop bleeding? (I feel great).

Have you been doing any activity since delivery? If going for walks & doing more mild exercise is working ok then I would go ahead. But I don't think I would make my first bout of exercise a full class - especially as the instructor where I wouldn't be able to step away if things weren't going well.

I would take it slow. if it doesn't seem to affect the amount o make it return to redder then it may be fine to do walking and light exercise. i keep bleeding every 2 wks and i want to run. i was on bedrest for half of my preg and now i'm 9 weeks pp. i've been taking it easy forever, i want to bust out!

Take it slow. Try some exercise and see how your body does. If your flow becomes more or brighter red, you know you've done too much and you need to slow down.
Do you have a really super supportive bra? You'll definately feel the need for that.
