Wichita PCP who refers to a midwife??? HELP!!!

I just found out I'm pregnant with my second baby. My first birth experience was with an OB. My baby boy came out healthy and safe, but -- looking back -- there were some things I didn't love about the birth experience.

This time I want to have a hospital birth attended by a CNM. There's only one in Wichita. My HMO requires that I get a referral from my primary-care physician (PCP). While I really like my PCP, she prefers to keep her OB patients in-house. Therefore, I need to switch PCPs to get a referral to the midwife. After calling around a bit, I'm having a hard time finding a doc who will refer to a midwife.

Does anyone know a Wichita PCP who feels comfortable referring to a midwife?

I believe that Dr Randal Morgan works with Sharon Foster. She is the only CNM in town. If you want info on some homebirth midwives in our area let me know. Have you thought about hiring a doula?
