Nursery/play school in Central Maine?

Does anyone take and leave their 2 year old in a fun nursery type school in the central maine area? She's too young for Montessori (just turned 2 the other day)and we don't want her in a big daycare setting....what to do??????We are already in music together and attend playgroup once a week too.

I can't think of anything off the top of my head... my kids started nursery school at 3 years. My best guess would be finding an in-home daycare that provides what you're looking for. I know there's an in-home day-care near me that has certain mornings that are also "school" with fun activities etc. - my friend had her 2.5yo go for a while, so that might be something you could find where you are...

We took a similar path to the one you are one. We did Music Together and playgroups/library story time until our DS turned 3. Now his is in a preschool 2days a week (and loves it!). The preschool that he attends starts w/ age 3. I don't know of any in this area that start younger. But then again, I am only in one small part of C. Maine.

Although, our older DS went to a daycare and the provider was pretty structured like a preschool. I believe she was HeadStart certified. Maybe that would be an option - a few mornings at a smaller daycare setting that has a preschool-ish program in place. Like Christina@BYBaby mentioned.

Good luck, I hope you find something that fits for your and your babe.
