This is about me. I have 3 baby teeth still. There are no adult teeth under them. I also never had wisdom teeth. The 3 baby teeth are all the 5th from the front, so the 12 month molars i think. I do have the adult tooth on the top left, but the other 3 in that position are all primary teeth. I had to have one pulled 3-4 years ago because the filling kept cracking (like 4 times over 8 years) and eventually there was nothing left to fill.
I am getting to that point with another one of them. This one is the top right one, 5th from front. It has been filled and cracked 4 times so far. It was capped (with an ugly sliver cap) when I was 16 or so. They did a crappy job of capping it though so there is a gap at the top big enough that stuff gets stuck in it all the time and it is much lower than the rest of my teeth making to hard to chew. I am a grinder and the tooth below the cap is constantly sore due to the grinding.
So at what point to I say screw it and just have them pull it? i know it at least needs to be re-capped, but since it was so long ago and on a different insurance plan (pre-existing condition), it will not be covered by my insurance. I am not even sure what condition hte tooth under the cap is in. Like I said, food gets caught in there all the time, like huge pieces of meet you would have to chew if you get it out
.
To add to the problem, I am 15 weeks pregnant and this is probably going to need to be done before baby is born. Ideas? I hate to have now 2 open spots in my mouth, but the pain is getting bad.
