Oh no Rockies... sorry to hear that you have to put things on hold, but it sounds like you have a great outlook about it all. Good for you! I hope you heal quickly.

Laura... I'm a teacher too! I used to be an ESL teacher, but now teach 2nd grade. Don't you just love it? I sure do! The BCPs made me feel a little gross, but the Lupron was worse for me in terms of side effects. YUCK!

Kristina... the Lupron injection is a breeze. I've been doing those for more than two weeks and can't feel it at all anymore. Its just the darn Menopur that HURTS, but even that is starting to feel a little better.

I do love it! I teach adults at a very small school and have gotten to know many of them very well...

I'm anticipating loads of gross side effects.... I never react well to these things!

Rockies - Oh no...shingles? How annoying. I'm so glad to hear that you have such a positive attitude about it though. Here's hoping for a quick recovery.

Kristina - how did your first shot of Lupron go? My first few were rough, but now I can just jam it in within 3 seconds and not feel a thing. I am really getting the hang of this and you will too!

pink - I can't believe how many of us are in education. I am a school psychologist (on hiatus) while I'm at home with my DS (and any others that happen to come along. ) Hopefully you're almost done with stims and we can hear all about your ER soon.

Everyone else: Hi!

AFM: My ovaries are sufficiently suppressed according to my ultrasound/bloodwork from Monday. However, due to scheduling concerns, I haven't been cleared to start stims yet. So annoying. Hopefully I'll get the call clearing me to begin tomorrow. I can't wait to get the show on the road here...I've already done 14 injections of Lupron!

LiamsMommy my lupron shot stung more than I anticipated, but tonight I had to do it in the car in the parking lot of a gas station. Talk about a junkie. I have acupuncture that is 3.5 hours away so I have to do it where we are at the time. Tonights was a breeze, didn't really feel a thing. My suppresion check is on the 20th.

The only side effect I have had was this am I took all my pills before starting to cook breakfast, instead of taking them while I was eating...needless to say I ate saltines on the way down the road.

I hope everyone else is doing great. I just keep chanting " It will all so be worth it one day!!"

just wanted to update everyone...

i had my er on sunday. they got 24 eggs!! everything went well.

they called today, we have 14 growing! we are scheduled for our et tomorrow but the nurse said they will call in the morning and let us know if we're being pushed to friday, which would be a 5 day transfer. they want to do a 5 day if possible so they can select the best one to put back. we're only doing a single embryo transfer this cycle. we did 2 when i got pregnant with my dd. but we really want only 1 more baby. we could never afford twins and it would completly put my dh over the edge!

Wanted to post an update about our journey. Everything has been pretty smooth sailing (knock on wood) since the BCP's ended. Went in today for initial measuring and count for follies, and RE said we have about 20 total all around 10 1/2 to 12 mm right now which he said was good.

I am also in education/teacher. I teach special ed at a local high school. I love the kids, but wasn't aware I was enlisted to be a data entry clerk also..

KristinaMarie... I now LOVE the lupron injection. I can't feel it at all and wish the other two were just as easy. So yes, at least THAT one gets easier!

Samanthasmom: Congrats to you! Sounds like you are WELL on your way to a BFP soon! I am right behind you... my ER is scheduled for Monday!

Texas... Thanks for the update... I've been wondering about you!

AFM... just had another round of injections and my tummy is getting really sore! Only a few more before the trigger on Saturday (hopefully)

i just need to complain... i feel so bloated today! really really bloated. i think i look prego already. a woman at work last night looked down at my stomach. i think, she thinks i'm pregnant!
i have to get more gatoraide tomorrow. i guess i have ohss...crap!

i never felt like this when i did ivf with my dd.


and my butt hurts from the progesterone oil.

WoooHooo, made it through the 3rd lupron without feeling a thing. If I only knew that they would all be that easy. I have been trying to figure out why I am so dang tired at night though, and I think I figured it our all by myself...and the bottle of dexamethasone that says "take at bedtime". Duh..so here it is 9:43 and its the longest I have been up in 3 days.

Hi girls...

I FINALLY got the go-ahead for stims last night! I was so thankful because I have been battling a raging Lupron headache for 4 days (that x-strength Tylenol couldn't even touch.) Within 30 minutes of taking the injection, my headache was gone. LOVE that.

Samanthasmom: So sorry to hear you're uncomfortable. I am so worried about the bloating! I pullled out 3 sizes of jeans from storage to accommodate my bloated belly during this process (last spring I dropped 15 pounds and went through 3 sizes in 3 months!)

Krissy - SO glad to hear you're doing well with the Lupron injections. They are so easy...are you doing Gonal-F when you stim? Those are even easier - it's a smaller gauge needle!

Texas - GREAT follicle count! Are you currently stimming? When is your ER?

pink - Triggering on saturday? Woo-hoo! I'm going to need someone to post a play-by-play of ER. I am really anxious about that part and don't really know what to expect.

AFM: I am currently on stimms, which are not bad so far. I go in tomorrow for another follie check, and if things progress as they have been, they said ER would be Tues or Wed. Won't know for sure till this weekend. I am getting so excited and sooooo nervous! Not to mention it is the end of the 6 weeks, and we have finals this week...HECTIC!!!! Just looking forward to next week. I have to go every day this weekend for follie checks.

Does anyone know about Ovidrel? That is my trigger, and RE hasn't told me how long in advanced to take it. They said they tell me about the medication as I go along so I don't get so overwhelmed...which is nice, but at the same time a little bothersome...I want to know now!

Hi ladies. I'm still around.
Currently stimming. Had my first follie check yesterday. They said I have about 16 follies, all under 10mm.
I have another follie check tomorrow.

Rockies- Shingles!!! That stinks! Hope you recover quickly.

Samanthasmom- 24 eggs! That is great! Did they warn you about OHSS? I hear drinking Gatorade helps.

Texas- Have you had your follie check today? How'd it go?

Update: Ok..so I went in for bw and sono today, and my results are as follows:

Uterine lining: about 12
Left Ovary: about 10 follies: biggest ones measure 15.0, 14.6, 14.5, 13.4, 12.7, 12.7, and a few smaller ones
Right Ovary: about 10 on this side too: biggest ones measure 17.1, 16.3, 14.7, 11.7, 13.2, 12.2, and a few smaller ones here too.

RE says everything is right on track for a possible Tues or Wed retrieval. Will know more at next appt. Not sure if I will have to go in tomorrow, they will let me know tonight.

Hey Texas...great news about your follies and lining!

I have a question for you all... how many of you are doing acupuncture right now alongside the 'western' meds for IVF?

PinkFriend- I am doing acupuncture in conjunction with western meds. My RE says that I have a "resistant" uterus, so he needs to get the blood flowing better. I am curious to see how my withdrawl period goes.

TexasHopeful- Those are great numbers.To think the journey is coming to an end.

LiamsMom- The lupron is a breeze right now..Waiting to feel something...knocking on wood.. I am going ot be doing Gonal F 150 units as well as Repronex...have not heard if there are any ladies on here that have used that one.

AFM I took my last BCP this morning. Have my supression check on 11/20 stims starting on 11/22


Hope everyone is doing good going into the weekend. I am off for antother pin cushion session tomorrow.

Well ladies... had another u/s and bloodwork this morning and the RE wants me to have one more day of stims, trigger tomorrow and ER on Tuesday.

Texas...it's you and me girlfriend... Tuesday is OUR day!

Kristina- How can your RE tell that you have a resistant uterus?

Kitty- Let us know how your follie check went this morning.

Pinkfriend- my Dr did a doppler ultrasound and he said the number should be below 3.5 to be considered normal....mine was 4.7 which means that the bllod flow doesn't get to the uterine walls as "easy" as it should. So we will be checking it at the next ultrasound.

Hey Ladies,

After todays b/w and u/s the RE wants me to stim for one more night and back in tomorrow for another scan...this means the ER won't happen until Wednesday. I'm feeling a little disappointed... My follies are taking a little longer than hoped for to reach 18... Oh well. Not much I can do but go with the flow.

Texas...how are you doing? Still set for Tues?
