We're moving to White Bear Lake at the end of Oct!

So hit me with your best!! I need recommendations on a decent elementary school and I would really really love any recommendations on vax friendly pediatricians! Anything I should know about the area? What would I love? Any warnings? I'm suffering some trepidation about this move because I've lived in the South/Southwest/West Coast my entire life. This is a huge change for me!!

What do you guys do for fun? We went to the Como Zoo when we visited last month. That place ROCKS!! And it's free (donations)! I think this will be good for us, I really do.

I lived near WBL many years ago. It is a great city. MarketFest is a great summer outing, Pine Tree Apple Orchard has strawberries, apples, etc., Tamarack Nature Center has great classes for kids.

I used to know a lot of homeschoolers from WBL so I'm not sure how the school system is but wanted to wish you good luck! I really miss that area.

Since you are used to the South, I would suggest having a winter coat ready. The end of October can bring 80 degrees or 2 feet of snow depending on the year.
