natural reed diffuser refill?

I bought a cheapie reed diffuser and now that it has completely evaporated, I would like to refill it with a natural replacement. Anyone have a recipe using essential oils, etc?

If I'm not mistaken, all that is in those is an EO or two and a carrier oil, like mineral oil. So if you just fill your bottle most of the way with plain mineral oil and add EO(s) until the scent seems right, you should be good to go.

So...I wasn't sure that it would be some sort of oil base because I didn't know if it would evaporate? Or do the reeds affect this somehow?
