Vegans TTC ~ Autumn/Winter - Page 6

snow~pea, nice attitude! you can be my attitude role model actually.

hi vegan_mama, welcome to the thread! 8dpo is way too early to test, at least wait until 10dpo. If you don't want to waste tests better even wait until AF is due. I never test at all I hate it!
THANK YOU!!

I'll wait until at least 12 dpo Or if I can stand it, when AF is due... hehehe

I have a pack of internet cheapies that say they can detect at 8-10 dpo... I don't know how true that is seeing how everyone has different levels of hCG. These say they can detect levels of 20. But even FRER say to wait until AF is due and they can detect 12? So, it's best for [my] sanity sake to wait. you are so right, and thanks for that kick... :

I don't know if I deserve all that, I still have a couple of delusional thoughs every day . I have definately come a long way though. My latest obsession is "window" shopping online for baby stuff. Its a sickness I tell you. I won't let myself buy anything though because I am afraid to jinx myself. Oh what ttc does to you .

Welcome vegan mama, I hope your stay here is short! Try to hold out on testing, though I know that's easier said than done. Good luck!
we're not buying anything baby either. in fact, I will go out today and look for a pair of jeans that will sit tight and fit my current shape perfectly, I will not wait for maternity jeans time to arrive! hopefully I'll actually find something. I hate shopping for jeans. but I like having them

it's early morning here so have a fun day everyone. or at least semi-fun.
Hi ladies!

Just dropping in to see what's up and do a little chart stalking (I know, I really need to get a life)! I'm sending fertile vibes to you all!

Enjoy regular jeans while you can, the maternity jeans can be either very unflattering or very expensive which would make any woman burst into tears out of sheer frustration. I can never find maternity jeans that are long enough and I have to wear them so low that I look like a gang wannabe.

I always find myself admiring the cute baby girl clothes at stores. I don't even want to touch them right now b/c I'm afraid it will somehow magically jinx it (like touching clothing can change a baby's sex--LOL). I hope we get a girl this time, but if not, I guess I'll save money on clothes. DH wants to save all of DS's shoes in case we have another boy . I tried to explain to him that it's probably not good for the next kid's feet to re-use already broken in shoes.

Have a great week ladies! :
I've had 3 days of EWCM, and a slight temp rise this morning.. I still think I am O-ing a week early!

Hey Lizzy, good luck catching that egg!

Welcome vegan_mama. I never test until I am sure I am PG, I just hate seeing the BFN's. Plus, I figure I'd rather not see a BFP followed by bleeding a few days later (in the case of a chemical PG).

Nice to see you catemom, I generally keep the dress shoes as they only tend to wear them a couple of times but pitch the every day shoes.

Good strategy, oceane, I bought a new suit recently for work and got PG a few days later.

AFM, I thought I O'd but FF is not giving me crosshairs yet.....
veganmama, I see ff now did give you crosshairs. yay!

lizzy, o vibes for you.

catemom
, continue chart stalking

snow~pea, oops, I now updated my 1000 min thread, glad to see you there!

me: I'm out of town from fri to wed I pretty please do not want to o then. for once a late ovulation will be welcome. also, vitex is gross but I take it, and my wheatgrass juice isn't so bad (sweetened). so now I need to get on diet and exercise track! cycling in the cool weather is no fun. wait till full-on winter and prepare to hear me whine

**GRIN** me too!! Although I'm so happy to have found you all, I will [almost] hate to leave you! Is there a vegan pregnancy thread? I haven't lurked much around the pregnancy threads, only the BFP's threads.

I am 5 dpo today & I have a good feeling. And, I'm trying so hard to not obsess about the symptoms that I may or may not have. Last time TWW, I scoured the early symptoms boards, etc. This time I haven't peeked at them at all. (*pats myself on the back) HOWEVER, I have had a dull crampy feeling for the past two and 1/2 days. Could be gas? I'm still two weeks away from AF (I O early in my cycle), and I don't ever remember that feeling before so early... so, hmmm... I will resist testing I will resist testing I will.

Thanks for the warm welcome and the great advice vegan mama's!!

[[baby vibes coming at you!]]

Yesterday was the EDD for my first loss (the one in February). My caregiver left for 5 weeks and I am juggling our alternate arrangements. I dropped my sobbing 4 year old off this morning. The markets suck and clients are nervous and my high mainentance parents arrvied last night for a 2 week visit.

Feeling very sorry for myself right now.

Oh VM, what a time for your caregiver to be away and for your parents to show up! Sending all the calming zen vibes I've got your way. Hopefully they can solve the child care problem while they are in town at least. Lots of .

AFM: AF is tiptoeing in, as expected, but never welcome.

I'm sorry aboout AF SnowPea, she bites.

My parents will take DS 3 mornings and pick both kids up from the bustop 3 afternoons next week. Which is great but it is a very small dent in 5 long weeks.
To be somewhat fair, they are also here to visit my sister and her 11.5 month old.

My ILs will do most of the other pick ups. And FIL will watch DS in the morning before kindy once a week. But I had to arrange for someone else to look after him 3 days a week in the mornings. Neither set of grandparents offered to do that. MY FIL is retired but never had much to do with kids. He's never even changed a diaper in his life. One morning a week will stress him out no end. He will actually have to prepare lunch for DS and make sure he goes to the potty!!!

I am taking Tuesdays off (worst time possible to take time off from my job) to stay with DS and the 2 youngest children of my friend who is taking DS the other 3 days.
veganmama, that's so complicated! I would totally offer to watch your kids if I was in Canada, but I no that's no help. sorry this happens while your job is so stressful, too. and big for EDD. sending you organizing and healing vibes :

snow~pea, booo. you ovulated pretty early this time though, right? so that's an awesome improvement already. you did it all by yourself, too! :

Lizzy, I have to stalk your chart before I can say anything, so just hi for now

also hi catemom!

I got Veganomicon in the mail today. I marked all the stuff I wanna make with pink post-its

good morning ladies. I'm leaving town tonight so my chart won't be updated until Wednesday. I'll try to temp semi-regularly but I guess I'll be spending the nights with my aunt in a tiny room in a foreign French home so I don't know how consistent I can be without having to discuss it (I'll be translating for my aunt who visits France with her choir). and right now I'm having the routine of vitex, maca and wheatgrass down! : I'll bring the vitex though. and I already found out where the supermarket is, if my memory is correct French supermarkets have cheap soy yogurt and the host family is probably not vegan-friendly. so brought bars and apples and le baguette it is

have a fun weekend!
veganmama, I hope you can breathe some over the course of it.
snow~pea, take good care of yourself during AF.
Lizzy, cook away
catemom, hello there.
catherine, how's baby c?
vegan_mama, did you test again?

For those who have been on the thread for awhile and know the story, my little cousin Finn died last night with his parents, sister and twin brother at his side. He was almost 3 1/2.
