anyone ever taught a "basics to TF" type class or discussion group?

Something I'm considering, as I have a venue to try something out like that. My problem would be in overwhelming people, I think. And in advertising. Do you just focus on the health conscious population the then spring saturated fat on them?!

WAP has their good list of Top 10 (or so) characteristics of traditional foods that would make a good outline, I think.

Any other thoughts? Suggestions?

I just used that list to make a handout to give to interested individuals. I think it'd be good to use as an outline.

But I agree it's a lot to go over at once. If you could do it as a series, maybe two or three points at a time, it would be much easier to handle, especially when you get to the hot button ones like the saturated fat - then you'd have time to go over the research and explain things about each point.

I give these talks and workshops frequently. I start by surveying the group and asking them what they are most interested in. Then I go over my own material making sure we hit on the things they want to know about. The talks are always well received.
