right now i use the dryer for them because we are not allowed to have a clothesline (hoa). i'm worries about hanging them on something wood like the railing upstairs because of possible water damage. any ideas?

If you have a hallway, you can put a shower curtain tension rod (or 2) up and hang from that! Works great to hang dry shirts on hangers, too.

I hang mine over the wooden banister all the time.
