Women Getting Pushed into Flu Vax While 8 Months Pregnant

This is anecdotal of course, but my mother knew a woman last year who was fine, got a flu shot, and very soon after got that lingering flu that never goes away, pregnancy complications, and ended up with a premature/complicated delivery. Of course, I can't say how much of that was attributed to the flu vax because I'm not her doctor, but she was fine then started to fall apart after receiving it.

THis was on NPR. Bummer that they didn't question the study more and just presented it as fact.

I developed a string of neurological problems less than a week after receiving a flu shot with my last pregnancy (about 6 months along). No one even brought up the vaccine so I didn't suspect it until almost 2 years later. All the dr's said my problems were "anxiety"...it most certainly is NOT that. But they couldn't find a "reason" for it. I still have problems and probably will forever.

So let's see. You have to think twice about taking tylenol when you're preggie but you can take a vax???
