anyone get contractions after dtd??

well i wasn't getting any contractions after dtd (until today) just wondering if anyone else experienced this, and if they got worse or went away.

I woke up with one contraction after DTD last week, but nothing since.

That happened to me with my first two pregnancies, but they were very painful contractions that went nowhere. Haven't tested it yet this time, I don't feel like going through that again.

Yes on Tuesday. 2minutes apart for 3 hours then sudenly stopped. Very frustrating!

Last Friday at like 4 in the morning (we DTD before going to bed that night) I got some regular ctx for a couple hours, but then they fizzled. Subsequent sessions have produced nothing though. Usually my belly just gets really hard for an hour or so and that's about it.

With my last labor, early labor started one evening and then I went to sleep and after an early morning DTD, they escalated so fast that it was really overwhelming and scary. I still had another 20 hours of labor to get through, too. I think I'd rather let things progress a little more gradually, if at all possible!

well the contactions were nice while they lasted. I was starting to wonder if i was every going to get any. I am just hoping they did something to help me get a kick start on things.

Yes!!! We dtd, I started having contractions within a half hour, and Freya was born an hour and a half later. It was a definate effect of dtd! I also did a few other things earlier in the day - you can read my birth story here.

I'm not sure if DTD really caused it, but after we did last Thursday, I started to feel really "different"--not contract-y, but like something was going on. I told DH we were having a baby that weekend. And we did!
