Sooooooo ready to be done!

OK, so I'm only 38 w +5, but I'm already so done being preggo. It seems like everyone in our DDC has had their babies, and it's gotten to the point where I can't even read the birth announcements because they stress me out. I'm happy for all the mamas who have their new babes, but I wish it was me. I have 0 patience, and am tired of waiting! Worse thing is I could still be preggo for another 3+ weeks!

OK, I feel a little better. I just needed to get that out there. Anyone else feel the same way?

OH YES! I definitly feel that way! Everything hurts, heartburn is unbearable, I am totally ready for baby... all shopping is done... nothing else to distract me from how impatient I am feeling... just a waiting game. Didnt help today when I pulled out the calendar and figured that if I go to 42 weeks (which I seriously hope and pray that I dont) then i wont have the baby before 8th of OCTOBER... which is sooooo far!:

oh well... but i do see how these doctors get so many women to schedule inductions just for convenience... i have to admit, its tempting... good thing DH would never let me do it or I might just give in!

Yeah I am 41w4d and I SO hear you. I am crabby, uncomfortable and facing loosing my homebirth. I feel like I will be pregnant for the rest of my life.

I'm at least 39 weeks via u/s dating (40w4d LMP). I want to be done. But I keep reminding myself that my lovely girl will make her way when she's ready -- hopefully sometime this month (God willing! ).

Im 38 weeks and 5 days too, but I am not ready to be done just yet. I need a little more time. My mom won't be in town till Saturday, I am still recovering from a cold, and I have a few more things left I would like to get done.

I am also enjoying every single day I have to spend with just my daughter before the baby comes. Don't get me wrong, I am very happy about the baby, but I am just worried about how things are going to change.

Now come and ask me how I feel when I am a week or two past my due date, and I bet you will get a completely different answer....like maybe "GET THIS BABY OUT OF ME NOW!!!"

I'm 38.5 weeks in, and I'm really wanting to meet the baby, but I still have some stuff around the house to do, and my friends' housewarming party is tomorrow night. Plus, my mom is doing a doula training that goes all through the weekend, so I'd rather the baby wait till she is free. Not to mention, hubby has a work project to finish up so we can get more money.

So I'm willing to wait a few more days or a week! Or even all the way to my due date. And I want baby to get fat and strong so that she can have better chance at having a healthier heart and survive the surgery she'll undergo after birth.

I'm TIRED of being pregnant (it's been a rough pregnancy), but I've gone this far, and can keep on going.

I know how you feel. It seemed that there were a lot of babies born before 40 weeks in our DDC, so I was really hoping to be one of them (the mama, not the baby). 40 weeks is tomorrow, so I don't see that happening. I feel like it HAS to be this weekend, my parents are out of town and my mom is not invited to the birth (she called 911 on me last time), I feel a lot more relaxed with her not here. If it's not this weekend, I will go nuts!

I am sooo very ready to be done as well. i'm 40 weeks today. I have never made it to a due date b4...so this seems xtra long! I am so hoping for it to happen this weekend

Today is my due date. I haven't had a single pre-labor sign yet. I'm getting impatient but trying to stay calm and have faith. Pregnancy takes a long time!

spanica - i'm 40 + 2 today and i haven't had a single pre-labor sign (that i'm confident about) yet either. i'm going to acupuncture on monday and getting a massage on tuesday; hoping one of those will give me/baby a nudge

I'm 40 + 4 today, and I'm more than ready Maybe I should go outside and sweat my self to death and walk around the yard.

Let's see, I'm 38 weeks + 5 days and YES, I AM READY! And yet I know that it could still be weeks yet. I swear I have practice labor surges every night that I hope will still be there in the morning. But they are not.

Evenings are the worst- I feel tired and my belly feels heavy and every move The Wee makes is painful. I swear, I have the strongest baby in there!!! And evening/night is when my heartburn is the worst. Actually, the heartburn is what bugs me the most. Everything else I could deal with for another couple of weeks. But god help me, whatever I do the heartburn creeps in constantly. I try to stay away from the Tums but it's hard. All the homeopathic/alternative things I try help a little but not all the way. ergh. Doesn't matter if I stay standing up, sitting up, lying down, whatever position I'm in = heartburn. I'm heartily SICK of it! *#&% hormones.

Okay, feels good to vent! Thanks!!!!

Yeah, my heartburn is bad, too. I can SOOO sympathize. Last night I was even wishing to exchange it for the pelvic pain! But only for a minute. I tried a BIG mug of mint tea with honey, and that seemed to keep it at bay long enough for me to catch some zzzzs. I'm all out of Tums and only a handful of papaya enzymes left!

I'm with the heartburn haters. I swear I could be pregnant for the next 3 months if not for the heartburn. I'd take pelvic pain before it any day...of course I really haven't had pelvic pain so I'm not sure what I'd be getting into.

I've sadly resigned myself to TUMS when necessary. I'm trying to keep it at 5/day or less, but even that is hard. Sigh.

Also agree with daniturtle about evenings- in the morning I barely feel pregnant, and in the evening all I can think about is how uncomfortable I feel and how I'd love to have this baby out. What's up with that? Weird.

I've been having cramps, nausea, and contractions ALL DAY, and nothing. I hope she comes out soon.
