We're having marinaded (ginger/soy/garlic/onion) pork chops (dh does them on the grill) fresh green beans from the garden and my favorite strawberry salad - romaine lettuce, pecans, sliced strawberries and a lemon juice/red wine vinegar dressing. YUM. I'm so looking forward it!
Whoa that sounds awesome- I love that kind of salad too! I'm trying to make a Greek impossible pie tonight- its spinach and feta and ricotta and stuff...
Last night I made crescent lasagna and a pumpkin pie, that was super yum.
I can't bring myself to cook meat these days, the smell and preparation just grosses me out too badly.
I'm hoping to be able to eat leftover chili that I made last night. I tried to make it all week and was too sick too, finally did yesterday and then it didn't settle too well.
Wow, I totally cannot read this thread before at least lunchtime! I have no idea what's for dinner tonight. Maybe homemade pizza. Bread machine for the dough makes it a quick and easy meal. Lots of cleanup though... For DH.
Nothing fancy tonight since we ate out for lunch - I'm too embarrased to say where (totally unhealthy, but my celebration meal for finally feeling like eating again!
We're going out of town for the weekend, so won't be cooking for a couple of days, but can't wait to write down all your wonderful ideas when I get back!
MI_dawn, the salad does sound incredibly delicious! Can you post the dressing recipe for us? Thanks!
Chicken Divan: Basically a chicken casserole mixed with cream of mushroom soup, broccolli florets, and then topped with cheez-its and melted cheese. Mmm... Probably some garlic bread as well.

:
Dressing is super-super simple (the strawberries totally make this salad dressing - doesn't taste half as good without them):
1 part lemon juice (for individual salad, I use 2 TBSP)
1 part red wine vinegar (2 TBSP)
1 TBSP sweetener of your choice

What are you having for dinner tonight?
MI_Dawn - can I come over for dinner?
I'll be making a Turkey Meatloaf (I put mushrooms, onions and peppers and swiss cheese in it) mashed potatoes and something green
I am excited about dinner tonight.
We are having salad (organic spring mix, boiled eggs, garden tomatoes, avocado, feta, parmesan... whatever else is in there...), loaded baked potatoes, and ribeyes. And I am making chocolate covered strawberries for desert.
the kids and i just snacked on tortilla chips with a dip i threw together (black beans, salsa, cheddar cheese and sour cream). well, rowan only ate the chips. LOL
and i'm drinking my protein fruit juice (whey powder - fruit juice flavor - mixed with water). helps to stave off the worst of the nausea. phew.

OMG that beats mine, hands down. Steak! Chocolate! MMMM!
DH got a gift certificate to a fancy restaurant in town. One of his student's parents gave it to him as an end of the year gift. We're finally going out tonight! Of course, we'll show up in jeans and hope no one gets too snooty! hehe
: Seriously, tho, this is Oregon...they should feel lucky we don't show up in red flannel and logger's boots, right?

LOADED BAKED POTATOES!
mmmmmmmm.... what do you fancy on your loaded potato?
cheese, broccoli, bacon?
my mind is reeling, maybe I'll have THAT for dessert instead! LOL

i like mine with lots of real butter, sour cream and a little bit of bacon and cheese.
ds and dp will put a lot of cheese and bacon. There is an unopened bag of organic baby carrots that have been sitting in the fridge all week, and so I got a package of ranch dip mix that you blend w sour cream, thinking we might be more inclined to eat them with a dip. Now I am thinking this will be very interesting in the potatoes.
i am eating nothing. i feel totally sick. luckily audrey is with her dad tonight, so i dont have to be around food at all if i dont want to. luckily i loaded up with a big lunch and got PLENTY of calories in, lol.

Didn't eat the chili. We took the girls swimming when DH got off work at 5. Well, he swam, I sat in the cafe and filled out massive amounts of paperwork for DD1's evaluation in 1.5 weeks.
By the time we got out of there, everything was so hungry so we just went to the Pizza Hut across the street.

Blackberry lemonade! That sounds fabulous!
I'm making tacos tonight. Need to use up all those garden tomatoes! (I still have a plastic container full - even after making "sun dried" ones in the oven - OMG were those GOOD!)
