Hi! ICAN of DC is holding its first meeting after a short break over
the summer.
If you or someone you know has had a cesarean and is interested in
learning about healing or how to prepare for another pregnancy,
please come to the program.
Program Details:
Healing After Cesarean: Post-Partum Recovery and Beyond
Most women do not anticipate having a Cesarean section and yet at
least one out of every three mothers today have experienced birth in
an operating room. This major surgery can have a profound impact on
both your physical and emotional recovery after birth. While it may
have been necessary to assure the health of your child, you or your
baby may be experiencing complications or side-effects that you
didn't expect. It also affects your plans for more children. Please
join us for a presentation and discussion on ways to heal from
cesarean birth. Discussion will focus on a variety of post-surgical
treatments and emotional support resources in our area. The
discussion will be led by Janet Brown, , Licensed Massage Therapist
owner of Integrative Health Massage Therapy; Laura Possessky, ICAN of
DC leader and birth rights advocate.
Date: September 28, 2008
Time: 7 PM
Place: Healing Arts of Capitol Hill. Address: 320 G Street, NE
PM me with any questions. We look forward to seeing you there.
Be Well,
Janet
