AnnMarie, at the end of the clip there were links to finding sustainably raised foods -- meat included. I think what this site is trying to say is that it is also important to support those producers who are farming sustainably. Even though I happen to be a vegetarian, I know that animals play an important role on a sustainably managed farm. You don't necessary need to give up meat (unless you want to) -- but rather, change the source of where your meat comes from.
Personally, I think it is important for people to Know Where Their Food Comes From. It drives me nuts to hear people talk about how they hate to see any semblance of the whole animal at a supermarket or butcher shop, or to see the blood on the wrapping of a steak, or the head on a fish. The attitude is, "I don't want to see it, I just want to eat it." I have respect for people I know who raise/hunt and slaughter their own food. At least they are coming to terms with the TRUTH. Factory farming and "modern" hospital births have a lot in common!
