My daughter is almost 5, and we have had a long, hard road - eczema all over her body since we adopted her at 2 months, reflux that caused her to gain no weight for over a year, and asthma. Finally, the last round of allergy tests showed something - peanut, tree nut, corn and dairy allergies. We have taken all out, and her eczema has greatly improved.
My husband is still skeptical about the whole allergy thing.
He does believe in the nut allergy, since her lip swelled up and we had to go the emergency room, but the corn RAST was almost as high, and her distended belly has disappeared since the corn was removed, as has the permanent eczema that covered the back of her neck for years.
So my baby feels a lot better, but I still have work to do on my hubby. You'd think the blood test results and epi-pen might provide some proof that it's not "all in my head", but not quite........
