My mom gave me this for Christmas and I absolutely love it. Gorgeous illustrations and very sweet ideas inside. Plus it's just structured enough so that I can be creative about what I include...

This is the prettiest carrier, and fit my shoulders and figure (at 5'6") much better than the Ergo. I got it when my daughter was about nine months, two years ago - it doesn't appear to have...

This potty is great - excellent value & performance! (plus it's cute!) My 9 month old DS took to it right away. He is a big boy (30 in. tall - feet not quite on floor - & 27 lbs.) and this is...

This book feels good in your hands. The paper is heavyweight, and the illustrations flow perfectly.

Here is another awesome Chicago homebirth midwifery practice. They are located in just west of Lincoln Square. http://awomansplacechicago.com/
I have a couple of other Chicago area homebirth providers listed on my resource page that might be worth looking into. http://www.vdoula.com/resources
Also tomorrow at 3 pm is the Chicago homebirth meetup group meeting at Bloom Yoga studio.... thought you'd be interested. http://www.bloomyogastudio.com/calen...etupGroup.html
Good luck!

We had a really lovely homebirth with Homefirst with ds so that could still be an option. I wouldn't change anything about that birth- it was great!

You are very welcome!
I know we have limited choices for homebirth in IL at this time and it can be stressful because the midwives sometimes book up quickly. Please update us though. I might have a few other connections for you if you are open to DE midwives.
Best,
victoria

Debbie Bucher is in Libertyville.

I am currently her only March clients, so not very full at all. She also does Bradley classes. I am taking her class that starts the end of October. Her website needs updating as she is now a CPM, not just a Doula. She is pretty new to being on her own, but she is so nice and really great about letting you decide how things go. Very natural minded, just let things be sort of mentality.

I can't imagine having my next baby anywhere but home and couldn't imagine anyone other than Debbie catching him/her.
There is one little typo in Mrsboyko's post, Debbie is a CNM
