I need to finish the drawstring for this sleep sack and put it through the opening at the bottom. And I haven't decided whether I'm going to put an embellishment on the front or not.

Everything still needs to be blocked.
Really, really cute. I like the swirly effect in the first one and the colors in the second one...good job!!!

It looks great! Did you use a pattern or wing it?

I made my first diaper today!!! It's a fitted and I think I'll pin or snappi them. I traced a kissaluvs 0 and used an old t-shirt for the inside and a bandanna that I picked up for 99 cents at goodwill (new). The diaper has two layers of t-shirt and two thick towel soaker layers. There are a ton of imperfections, but it went pretty well for a first try and I'm excited! I really like the pattern shape, but don't know how to size it up...any ideas about how much bigger it should be to fit 10-25 lbs as opposed to 5-15 lbs? I dont have any fitteds that size.

Thank you girls

Wow, it looks great, wobblykate !

Honeybunmom, I used this pattern but it would really be better if I had a gauge size to be sure of what I was doing...

I just finished a bum wrap for a baby shower gift. It's cashmere. I tried to make cashmere booties, but the cable knit was too lumpy. This turned out so cute, tho, I want to keep it . Maybe I'll have enough for another. It's a turtle neck, so maybe I can make little legs out of that.

I used this pattern. It was really simple.

Here are my last soaker and wrap
I'm thinking of buying a 20" doll to try them on, the pictures will be better when i'll have it...
And, yes, for the first time ever, I started knit somthing for myself ! A nice nursing top, I hope I'll finish it, some day (here is the start...

very cool!! love the wrap...are you going to snappi it? Also, cool top. I love the dolphin
post #113 of 194
They look great, Ilek! Good luck with the nursing top!

And Kate, I missed you posting your soaker. I can't wait to get started on some recycled woolens.

I never posted the link here of the baby yoda sweater, but here is the finished product, minus a button (Obviously the sweater has a little growing room. I love this newborn sized baby doll- I really wish we'd done photos with him and my daughter when she was born, because they were so close in size. It would have been a great series.)

Right now I'm working on a knitted pilot cap, but I'm not loving the garter stitch so much. It's quick to knit, but not as soft from all of the ridges. I think it looks a little like cotton chain-mail or something. I think it will also have a little growing room, too- the pattern says 0-6 months, which is a huge range!

And if you browse around my "crafty projects" set, you can see the solstice lanterns that we made last month, and the paper lotuses that I made yesterday for Chinese New Year. Neither are baby related, but both fun projects

Very cool, mel. It's totally a yoda sweater. Love it. The hat is cool, hope it's soft even with the ridges.

I just finished a stuffed robot toy. One of our little friends is turning 4 on Sunday and I think he'll like it. Pics later. Gotta go work. No time to keep on on posts today..........

More lovely FO's ladies! Kate, I want a sewing machine so badly! I can't wait to get one so I can re-learn to sew. Ilek, I have that top on my to do list, too.

Here's what I've finished lately. Not shown is the kimono from Mason-Dixon knitting. Knitting and seaming are done, I just have to make the closures.

I want to try to make a matching kimono, but we'll see....tops are harder for me!
I made a few pairs of recycled longies yesterday during naptime.

I made these and these out of fleece a few weeks ago.

One of these days I will take pics of all the diapers I have made. 7 snappi-able fitteds, and another 10 pocket fitteds (all snappi-able).

Oh - and a pair of knitted longies. My first pair, and they came out.... ok. LOL I definitely have the itch to knit a few more!
