Homebirth supply leftovers-what to do?

Title pretty much says all. What do I do with this stuff? Many chux pads, lots of gloves, cold compresses, even cord rings. Any ideas?

I give them to my mw so she can give them to clients who need it. Or I just save them for the next time lol.

Well, you could give them to your midwife, or donate them to a local birth center or womans shelter, you could post them to your local tribe board here at mothering and see if anyone in your area needs any supplies for their homebirth.

Chux pads are fantastic as disposable changing pads for travel with baby, or for Grandma's house, where her carpet is white!

We use gloves in the kitchen for things like mixing meatloaf or rubbing herbs on turkey (wonderful when you have a newborn or toddler who waits until your hands are really dirty to start crying or trip and fall!)

Cold compresses just come in handy. I would keep those in the first aid kit. I try to keep a kit in the car for outing related injuries. I have energetic kids, can you tell?

The rest I don't know! Maybe your midwife can use them!

Have fun!

If you don't want to save them for your next birth, give them to your midwife!

Those spare supplies just knocking around in your closet can really come in handy at another birth.

That's what we did. We had lots of stuff leftover. Our midwives said they would give them to someone who needs them.
