a 9 yo acts like a teenager already. I get growls, snarls, etc. when I ask him to do simple things like put his shoes away, put on his seat belt, etc. He yells that I'm bossy and mean. He has no respect for me. Help.

i noticed you're not getting responses and didn't want to leave you hanging, but it's kind of hard to respond to your post because there is not much information to go on. you've told us what you don't like about his attitude/behavior, but not where you think it's coming from. do you have any idea why your ds acts this way?
